Cyber Essentials Certified – Serious about Security
As part of our ongoing commitment to cyber security, we are pleased to announce that hSo has become Cyber Essentials certified.
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government backed scheme that outlines the technical controls organisations need to implement, to ensure they can defend themselves against the vast majority of internet-based attacks.
Cyber Essential’s five key controls are:
- Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- Secure configuration within the organisation
- Strong Access control
- Appropriate malware protection
- Efficient patch management
Cyber Essentials is just one of the security related certifications we’ve gained. In 2018, we achieved GCHQ’s National Cyber Security CAS-T certification for telecommunications companies. This certificate reassures customers in the public and private sectors that their data services are protected against cyber attacks. Furthermore, we are Health and Social Care Network (HSCN) compliant, which means our network is allowed to carry confidential NHS data.
