Get your own private path to Azure and Office 365's hosted services
The Internet is great, but if you plan to rely on Microsoft's cloud services, there's a better option: Azure ExpressRoute.
It creates uncontended, high-throughput, low-latency connections to the Microsoft cloud.
With your new improved connection, your Azure VMs will seem more responsive and your users may not even realise they are using remotely-hosted services.
Have your own dedicated, high-throughput, low-latency connections into Azure, bypassing Internet congestion. Reliably good network performance backed by SLAs.
ExpressRoute's premium option can connect to Office 365, Exchange Online, Dynamics CRM Online and SharePoint Online, subject to Microsoft Sales approval.
Azure charges for oubound data transfers, charging far less if you use ExpressRoute. There's also an unmetered option. We charge a flat fee - regardless of how much data you transfer.
We connect you to Azure via two data centres in different towns. Both links are active and can be used at the same time.
ExpressRoute can connect to Azure at speeds up to ten times faster than Azure allows over the Internet.
ExpressRoute is only available in certain data centres. We can connect your UK sites to these locations using our core network and the UK's largest networks.
If you order a 100Mbps ExpressRoute connection, you could potentially send 200Mbps of traffic to Azure - 100Mbps down each BGP path. Not all ExpressRoute connectivity providers support this feature. We do.
You can order as little as 50Mbps of connectivity. Other options inclue 100Mbps, 200Mbps, 500Mbps, 1Gbps, 2Gbps, 5Gbps and 10Gbps.
The connection to Azure is monitored 24/7 by our UK network operations centre. Our network specialists are there to troubleshoot issues day or night, escalating to Microsoft when appropriate.
If hSo provides your WAN, a single Azure ExpressRoute connection can be shared amongst users at multiple sites. We can prioritise Azure traffic so it takes precedence over normal Internet traffic.
