Urgent Update: The Non-Emergency 101 Service
Due to the unfolding situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Home Office (HO) has requested that all Communication Providers implement a charge change to the non-emergency 101 service, so that it becomes free-to-caller from 1st April 2020. This initiative is to enable callers to contact police for non-emergency calls, and to alleviate pressure on 999 services. Therefore, from 1st April, all calls to the 101 service will be zero-rated until Government advice changes.
