hSo selected for new Public Sector supplier framework
hSo chosen for 3 key converged networks categories
HighSpeed Office Limited (trading as hSo) has been awarded a place on the new Network Services framework agreement (RM1045) as a supplier to the UK Public Sector.
The agreement, which is available for use from August 2015, will provide simplified access to network and telecommunications services. It is designed to help connect Public Sector organisations with a more competitive range of suppliers, including more small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
hSo, having passed the rigorous supplier selection process of the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), is well placed to help organisations across the Public Sector to improve their use of data, Internet, telephony and cloud technology.
On the back of hSo’s track record of successfully implementing end-to-end, managed solutions in the Public Sector, the CCS awarded hSo for all four supplier categories it applied for:
- Lot 1 – Data Access Services
- Lot 3 – Traditional Telephony Services
- Lot 5 – IP Telephony Services
- Agency Services
"As an agile and nimble SME, hSo is delighted to be selected for this new procurement framework," says Chris Evans, hSo’s Managing Director.
hSo uses its own network platform and works with all major national network providers to offer carrier-independent, cost-effective solutions, using ISO-certified processes.
“We applaud the inclusion of SMEs like hSo under this new framework. We’re sure that hSo’s cost-effectiveness, flexibility and friendly 24/7 support will be welcomed by the Public Sector”, adds Mr Evans.
“hSo is proud to be one of only five SMEs selected for Data Access Services, and our inclusion for both Traditional and IP Telephony Services too is testament to hSo’s ability to provide fully converged solutions which can include WAN and hosted telephony services.”
The agreement allows for the use of new and emerging networking technology, encouraging more innovation and flexibility, and letting Public Sector bodies buy what they want in the way they want to. It enables suppliers like hSo to build additional services around the core of contracted services to create bundled offerings.

About the Network Services RM1045 Framework
The Network Services framework agreement (RM1045) is a new, two-year agreement created by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS).
The CCS brings together policy, advice and direct buying; providing procurement and commercial services to central government and the wider public sector, including emergency services, health, local government, devolved administrations, education and charities.
The CCS supported the delivery of £5.9 billion savings for the taxpayer in 2014/15. These savings were achieved through a combination of price and demand related savings on common goods and services, leveraging relationships with suppliers and spending controls.
The agreement provides access to both PSN compliant and non-PSN services. It replaces the existing and legacy agreements.
