VoIP offers major cost savings, VoIP Review finds
Businesses that are making use of VoIP could see major cost savings, a new report has revealed.
The report, which was carried out by VoIP Review - the guide for VoIP service and VoIP service providers – found that increasing numbers of businesses are turning away from the traditional communication methods in favour of a service such as VoIP. This is due in part to the cost savings that are possible to achieve as a result of implementing the service.
The report found that, as all calls are almost indistinct from local calls when made through VoIP, it was simple for suppliers within the arena to offer businesses unlimited calling plans, meaning it is far easier for firms to keep track of their communications budget each month. "Many providers offer free or unlimited calling options to international destinations. Many providers offer an hour of free international calling every month, or plans with unlimited calling to certain destinations,” the report read.
VoIP Review also highlighted the fact that VoIP packages can be tailored to the specific business: "Plans are scalable so business owners can get the plan that best fits their business down to the smallest detail," it said.
With businesses across the globe keen to continue to cut costs and improve their bottom lines, turning to VoIP could be one way of contributing towards that. "Everyday, more and more customers are converting to VoIP service, and more and more phone service providers are starting to pay attention. In the next few years, analysts expect VoIP use to continue to grow, with more and more residential and business customers beginning to realize the money saving advantages of a good VoIP service," the report concluded.
Businesses looking to move services into the cloud, should evaluate the performance of their existing network and consider setting up a leased line or MPLS network.
