Fujitsu to extend cloud computing services
Technology firm Fujitsu has announced that it is to extend its cloud computing deployment services.
The company has launched two new services as well as a set of hardware modules, which combine to serve as a basis for enterprise private cloud computing deployment.
Fujitsu's Business Solutions Store will house the new cloud offerings, allowing potential customers to browse through platforms and choose which service will be of most use to them.
The Fujitsu CRM Cloud Services option is one of the first products to be offered through the platform and it will help enterprises to develop their reliance on the cloud. But in addition to these more well-know cloud options, the firm is also introducing its Dynamic Infrastructures Blocks.
These blocks are designed to help businesses take a step-by-step approach to reshaping their data centres. As well as facilitating a logical growth plan, the blocks are designed to ensure that companies' IT systems are able to implement on-premises private cloud infrastructures.
They allow for the flexibility that is so important in today's business environment, while also maintaining the reassurance of lifetime and integration services from Fujitsu, such as hardware and operating system maintenance.
Jens-Peter Seick, senior vice-president of product development group at Fujitsu Technology Solutions commented: "For enterprises, it is impossible to predict future resource requirements from IT systems, but with DI Blocks it is possible to create flexible, future-proof systems that are flexible and agile enough to meet ever-changing needs.”
He added that this is all part of a “major shift” in the way in which businesses are choosing to implement IT systems that “support their needs, rather than being restricted by rigid, outdated systems".
Businesses looking to move services into the cloud should evaluate the performance of their existing network and consider setting up a leased line or MPLS network.
