Brighton centre offers free fast Wi-Fi to all delegates
All business delegates attending an event at the Brighton Centre will now have access to free high-speed Wi-Fi via a new leased line fibre internet connection.
The Brighton Centre has recently undergone a £1 million renovation to bring it up to standard in terms of its business amenities for those attending conferences and other events.
The 11g/n duel band wireless, which is linked to the leased line, will be available to all for free and will deliver faster connections than delegates are often used to from their conference venues, according to the Brighton Centre. Its Business Communication Manager, Penny Parker, explained, “Many UK venues still charge for Delegate Wi-Fi access or, if it is free, will only offer access over a slow ADSL line.”
“We believe that providing good quality, free Delegate Wi-Fi is an intrinsic part of the venue package for business users, especially as interactive debates and live reporting become more and more important,” she added.
A variety of other improvements have been made to the site as a result of the major investment and renovation scheme, which was completed in January this year. The venue now has a much larger entrance area and reception and a overhauled and redesigned restaurant on the third floor. Those enjoying the space, and, most likely, the free wi-fi will also be able to enjoy a panoramic, unspoilt view of the Brighton seafront.
Auditorium 1 now has 4,000 brand new seats and the second auditorium has also received a make-over. However it is the fast broadband that is likely to attract the visitors, as fast broadband via a leased line is a strong selling point for any business premises.
